Report: Lithuania forbids concrete, alcohol transit to Kaliningrad

MOSCOW, Jul 11 (PRIME) -- Lithuania has forbidden the transit of concrete and alcohol from Russia to the exclave Kaliningrad Region, news portal Verslo zinios reported on Monday citing the Lithuanian customs.

"Starting from Sunday, as a transition period to implementation of the E.U. fifth package of sanctions against Russia ends, the transit transportation of concrete, alcohol and other Russia-made products across Lithuania is forbidden," the statement read.

In June, the Lithuanian railways notified the Kaliningrad railways about termination of transit of some goods sanctioned by the E.U. since June 18. Transit of oil products to the Kaliningrad Region was to continue until August 10.
